StillSecure updates NAC product

Monday, August 15, 2011

Colorado-based network security solutions and certified compliance company StillSecure released an updated version of its Network Access Control (NAC) product called Safe Access.

Safe Access prevents unauthorized access and malicious endpoint activity, while enforcing an organization’s own security policies and helping it comply with PCI, HIPAA, GLBA, FISMA and SOX.

The enhancements to the product include Common Access Card authentication that can support the Department of Defense smart cards. The product now also has updates to speed up the patching process on Microsoft operating systems.

This NAC product allows users to control access and security policy definitions and manage their enforcement on a network. It’s optimized for use in Department of Defense environments. [end]

VASCO Data Security International Inc. launched a version of MYDIGIPASS.COM for consumers to authenticate and securely log in to Web sites and Web applications.

The product adds strong user authentication to tens of thousands of online B2B and B2C Web-based applications. Using a soft- or hardware client device, such as DIGIPAS, dormant embedded DIGIPASS, DIGIPASS+ devices and smart card enabled national ID cards, MYDIGIPASS.COM can secure consumer online accounts. With MYDIGIPASS.COM, consumers only have to log in once to access all activated sites.
