Episode 48: Lockheed updates on FBI's next-gen ID program

The FBI’s upgrading of its IAFIS program to a next-generation identification program is a huge undertaking. Lockheed Martin was awarded the 10-year contract to upgrade the program, which recently reached it’s first milestone. Mike Moore, director of the next generation ID program at Lockheed Martin, talks with Regarding ID Editor Zack Martin about the recent milestone and where the program is headed.

Neurotechnology announces new releases for Android OS

Accenture wins $71M contract from DHS

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security awarded Accenture Federal Services a 13-month, $71 million contract to add biometric modalities and other enhancements to the US-VISIT program. Episode 90: Visa explains online EMV

Visa made waves in August when it unveiled a road map to move the U.S. to EMV and then again in January when the company said that the country’s deployment wouldn’t be chip and PIN. Stephanie Ericksen, head of Authentication Product Integration at Visa USA, talks to Regarding ID’s Gina Jordan about the move and why the U.S. will have a different solution than what other typically associate with EMV. “One thing that we’re trying to clarify is there are many countries around the world that have adopted EMV chip technology, but it’s not chip and PIN,” Ericksen says.

Neurotechnology releases two new MegaMatcher solutions

Neurotechnology has announced the release of two new software development kits (SDKs) from their MegaMatcher line of offerings. The two new releases, MegaMatcher 4.2 and MegaMatcher On Card 3.0, both offer support for fingerprint, facial and iris recognition to be used either individually or as a multi-factor solution by Neurotechnology’s VeriFinger 6.4, VeriLook 5.1 and VeriEye identification engines, respectively.
